In the approach of an artist there are coincidences that decide a new direction,
Of a different plastic motivation.
In 2006, I met the one who was going to change my life as an artist by giving him a special orientation.
I am talking about the industrial felt that I found in the waste of an industrial wasteland.
I knew immediately that he would make me a sculptor.
Since then I have only used this felt and my approach is totally inherent in this material:
To shape it, I developed a lexicon, invented a technique or even techniques diverting iron tools, wood tools.
The soldering iron has become my right hand.
I alter, I burn, I rust my felt, I mistreat it, I slice it, I polish it and rude it.
A strong impulse is then born that quickly turns out to be incoercible, instinctive.
One way, a matter is born from these quick gestures and in the spontaneity of the act a story is told each time.
I totally let my hands go and it is all the intuition of the world that I seek to capture in the intimacy of my creation.
Industrial felt reflecting a very current temporal flexibility,
It is the movement inherent in the rhythm of the world that my creation seeks to capture and reproduce.
